“ There's a bridge between the left and right hemisphere that transmits information. What happens with our kids is that the transmission of the information is not going through. Dance and music forces the brain to reorganize itself. Through the music and the movement the child is being asked to hear the music, process the sequence and the patterns, and then dance, it takes both sides of the brain to dance. “ -Joanne Lara, abc7 news, Denise Dador

How Can I Donate?

Autism Movement Therapy, Inc., a nonprofit serving autism research, environmental reform & community outreach.

Individuals with autism generally miss out on the one activity where they can excel - the arts. There is a tremendous need for our schools and communities to provide classes in dance, music, theatre, visual and the media arts for our youth. It is so important that our students have access to a well-rounded arts program; because the arts enrich and give meaning and understanding to ourselves and our world around us.

We believe that it is time to consider dance, music, theatre and visual arts programs as “compatible alternative therapy” to traditional therapies. When provided by a trained therapist, the arts can support and assist with sensory integration and behavioral challenges as well as provide a natural setting for social interaction with typical peers.

Please give generously to help us to continue to support the ARTS for all Kids!
